On June 6th, we had the pleasure of hosting the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Cassidy on Canal! Over 100 guests joined us to celebrate and explore our new 33-story, 343-unit Class A community in Chicago’s Fulton River District. As the first Class A development to open near the west bank of the Chicago River in over 17 years, this event marked a significant milestone for Habitat.
Guests enjoyed a delightful array of passed hors d'oeuvres from East Bank Club and sipped on our signature welcome drink, The Cassidy. They toured our beautifully designed studio, one-, and two-bedroom model units, and marveled at the unobstructed views of Chicago's skyline during guided tours of our Penthouse Collection.
One of the event’s highlights was the unveiling of our custom sculpture, surrounded by 200 bricks repurposed from the original Cassidy Tire structure that stood on this site since 1908. This unique piece beautifully ties our development to the rich history of the location.
Cassidy on Canal offers a diverse mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom units, along with our exclusive Penthouse Collection. The building boasts a robust amenity package, including a 10,000-square-foot outdoor deck with landscaped grounds, a pool, lounge seating, fire pits, grilling areas, cool weather heaters, and dining areas. Inside, residents can enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness center with practice studios, a game room, various club rooms, a coworking center, and a rejuvenating spa with a steam room and sauna. For our furry residents, an extensive outdoor dog run is set to open in the coming months.
