The Habitat Company offers an array of Affordable subsidized and non-subsidized housing. "Subsidized housing" is also known as "Section 8" housing, in which the resident's portion of the rent is based on a percentage of his or her household's income. "Non-subsidized affordable housing" is targeted toward low-income renters who pay a low fixed rent.
Due to high demand for subsidized housing, The Habitat Company maintains wait lists for its subsidized low income housing programs. Most of these wait lists currently are closed and are not accepting applications. Individuals interested in residing in one of these low-income housing developments are encouraged to check this page periodically for notices of wait list openings.
The Riverside Village family waitlist is now closed. A lottery will be held in early January. Applicants chosen for the lottery will be notified by mail by the first week in February.
